"This was a fabulous experience on the Danube. Everything from booking to boarding to the cruise itself was perfect. The staff were very well organised, courteous and helpful. We enjoyed the selection of drinks provided and the audio description was very informative and clear. Highly recommended." - Darrell, United Kingdom/

"Audio guide, informative; without being protracted. One of the only boat tours stopping at Margaret Island (take a swimming costume as pools with slides available). Margaret Island worth a visit (check out the musical fountain & numerous choices of wheeled transport available to hire)." - Andrew, Germany/

"Really gorgeous cruise, really friendly staff and a good tempo to watch all the sights. We got 2 free drinks, and the audioguide gave enough information, but not too much. There’s a possibility to hop off the boat at Margaret Island and get on the next boat back to the start. We‘d recommend this tour. Price Performance top! Do it, it’s worth the time and money!" - Monika, Germany/

Budapest, the stunning capital of Hungary, is a city that offers a plethora of attractions and experiences year-round. However, the best time to visit largely depends on your preferences and what you're looking to get out of your trip. Each season in Budapest has its unique charm and activities to offer.

Spring (March to May)

Spring is a lovely time to visit Budapest as the city starts to bloom, and the weather becomes milder. The temperatures are comfortable, and you can enjoy exploring the city's outdoor attractions, such as the Buda Castle, Fisherman's Bastion, and Margaret Island, without the overwhelming crowds that come later in the year.

The Spring Festival, usually held in March and April, is a significant cultural event in Budapest, featuring music, art, and theater performances, making it a great time for culture enthusiasts to visit.

Summer (June to August)

Summer is the peak tourist season in Budapest due to the warm and sunny weather. This is the best time for outdoor activities like cruising on the Danube River, enjoying open-air concerts, and relaxing in the famous thermal baths of Budapest.

However, be prepared for larger crowds and higher prices during the summer months. To avoid the busiest periods, consider planning your visit in June or late August when the weather is still pleasant but with slightly fewer tourists.

Fall (September to November)

Autumn is a magical time to experience Budapest's beauty as the city is covered in vibrant colors from the changing leaves. The weather remains pleasant, making it an ideal time for sightseeing, walking tours, and visiting outdoor attractions.

The Budapest International Wine Festival, held in September, is a highlight for wine enthusiasts, offering the chance to taste a wide variety of Hungarian wines and indulge in local gastronomy.

Winter (December to February)

Winter in Budapest is cold, but it has its own enchanting atmosphere, especially during the Christmas season. The city is beautifully decorated with lights, and Christmas markets pop up all over the place, offering traditional foods, handcrafted gifts, and a warm festive ambiance.

January and February are the coldest months, but you can enjoy the advantage of fewer tourists and lower accommodation rates. Plus, you can experience the famous thermal baths in a cozy setting, making the chill outside more bearable.

Boat was clean, audio tour was good. Worth the time to see everything from the perspective of the Danube.

traveler – Slovakia

Really nice audio-guide explanations and overall experience.

traveler – Canada

A very pleasant way to spend an hour on the beautiful Danube. The audio tour was quite interesting. It was also nice to have the option to stop at Margaret Island for 45 minutes. Our only complaint is that the drinks were not great. My kids requested Fanta since it was offered as an option. What they got tasted nothing like Fanta.

traveler – Romania

Fabulous trip on an awesome boat... two drinks included... friendly staff and great value for money.

traveler – Australia

Nice value for money. :) With 1 welcome drink and another lemon drink towards the end of the trip. I am with my 73-year-old Aunt, so this is a good idea not only for families with children but also for seniors.
